The End-of-Life and Palliative Care NGO Grants Program aims to increase community capacity to engage with death and dying through projects and initiatives delivered by non-government, not for profit or Aboriginal community-controlled organisations across ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
The assessment process is completed. Many strong proposals were received and we thank applicants for their interest, along with the time and expertise taken to prepare applications. Successful grantees will be published on the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Government Grants and Funding website.
Approval was received from the Minister for Health to award 6 grants, ranging from approximately $360,000 to $670,000 over 4 years. A total of $1.3 million was awarded to 2 Aboriginal organisations across the program. Grants awarded will fund a range of programs across all objectives of the grant program, including:
This was an open and competitive grants process, conducted in-line with the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Government Grants Adminstration Guide and the Administration of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health Grant Funding for Non-Government Organisations policy directive.
Further funding is available in FY2025-26 and FY2026-27 under the End of Life and Palliative Care NGO Grant Program. A closed, non-competitive grant opportunity will be open from 6 June – 4 July 2025, to allocate available additional funding to eligible unsuccessful applicants from the first round of the program. Eligible applicants will be contact by the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Ministry of Health and provided with information on how to apply.
