Which roles are eligible for the scheme?

What incentives are available? 

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health offers incentives and benefits based on location and the difficulty filling the role. Some incentives include but are not limited to: 

  • ​accommodation assistance â€‹
  • additional leave 
  • computer / internet reimbursement 
  • return airfare home 
  • study assistance. 

How are incentives paid? 

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health organisations recruiting for rural and remote roles wi​â¶Ä‹ll advise the way an incentive will be processed or paid. 

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health workers will receive negotiated incentives calculated to a 12-month period. The 12-month period starts from the date the incentive is received.

What is the application process? 

There is no formal application process required from health workers for RHWIS. Search ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Jobs and type #ruralhealthincentives into the search bar for participating roles.

  • ​ – Provides essential government workers and their families with the support they need to move into regional communities.
