Sponsorship opportunities

The aim of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health is to provide the people of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø with the best possible health care that not only meets today’s health needs but also responds to the health needs of the future. The scope of work undertaken across the state ranges from acute hospital care to policy development, health promotion and community health initiatives.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health seeks sponsorship opportunities that send pro-active health messages to the people of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. All sponsorship requests are subject to a stringent approval process, ongoing management and extensive evaluation to ensure communication opportunities are maximised.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health may consider sponsorship proposals that are consistent with the Ministry of Health's strategic priorities. The overarching key directions are:

  • keeping people healthy and out of hospital
  • providing world-class clinical care
  • delivering truly integrated care

Sponsorship proposals must also be in line with ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health's values of collaboration, openness, respect and empowerment.

There are two types of sponsorship at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health:

  1. Outgoing sponsorship
Outgoing sponsorship is any contribution that ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health provides to a private sector or community organisation to support an event, initiative or activity. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health will assess requests on the ability to provide tangible evidence that improved health outcomes for particular target audiences will result. The decision to sponsor involves the agreement of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health to be publicly associated with a particular event, forum or activity and as such the decision to sponsor is not made lightly.
  2. Incoming sponsorship
Incoming sponsorship is any monetary or in-kind contribution received from a private sector organisation in support of a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health service, facility, activity or event in return for some form of public acknowledgement.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health will not consider any submissions from companies that are involved with the manufacture and production of tobacco and alcohol related products, or other products and services that could damage health, or conflict with the priorities of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health.
