ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø

The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Population Health Survey (the Survey) is an annual survey that monitors the health and the risks of the people of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. The Survey provides information on risks and behaviours such as smoking, vaping, illicit drug use, physical activity, alcohol consumption, fruit and vegetable consumption, and overweight and obesity at a local health district level. The information from the Survey is used across ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to help inform health service planning and delivery, and to monitor the progress of key strategic initiatives.

The Survey has evolved over the years to adapt to changes in technology. Since 2002, the Survey has been conducted using computer assisted telephone interview (CATI). However, in the last quarter of 2024, the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence trialled a push-to-web (PtW) methodology to assist in improving the reduced response rates of the telephone methodology. The PtW trial participants were recruited through a postal letter and the survey was completed online.​
