Public health alert - interstate travel advice

17 July 2021

Anyone travelling to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø who has been in Victoria after 12.01am on Saturday 17 July will be required to follow the stay-at-home rules.

The previous exemption for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø border region residents remains in place. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø border residents do not have to follow the stay-at-home rules if the only place they have been in Victoria is in the border region.

Declaration requirements are still in place for people who have been in Victoria, Western Australia, Queensland and the Northern Territory in the previous 14 days, with the exception of those living and travelling in the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø/Victoria border region.

Interstate travellers who have been to a close-contact venue must not enter ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø unless they are a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø resident, or are transiting to the ACT. If they are in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, they must self-isolate until it has been 14 days since they were last at the close-contact venue.

Interstate travellers who have been to a casual-contact venue must not enter ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø unless they are a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø resident (or transiting to the ACT) or they have had a negative COVID-19 result after being at the venue.

If they are in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, they must self-isolate until it has been 14 days since they were last at the casual-contact venue, or until they receive a negative COVID-19 test result.

The declaration form is available on the Service ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø website, and can be completed in the 24-hour period before entering ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø or on arrival. The information gathered from travel declarations is vital to allow ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health to contact travellers if necessary.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health urges people who have recently travelled from Victoria, the Northern Territory, Queensland, and Western Australia to regularly check the local health websites to see if they have visited any of the venues of concern, and if so, immediately follow the relevant public health advice.

If you are in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and have attended any of the venues identified by the local public health authorities at the times and dates listed, please contact ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health immediately on 1800 943 553.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health reminds people to continue to present for testing with even the mildest of symptoms. There are more than 400 COVID-19 testing locations across ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, many of which are open seven days a week. To find your nearest testing clinic, visit COVID-19 testing clinics, or contact your GP.
