ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø recorded no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
Five new overseas-acquired cases were reported in the same period, bringing the total number of cases in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø since the beginning of the pandemic to 5,396.
There were 15,989 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day's total of 17,012.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health administered 7,162 COVID-19 vaccines in the 24 hours to 8pm last night, including 5,467 at the vaccination centre at Sydney Olympic Park.
The total number of vaccines administered in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø is now 1,279,169 with 418,996 doses administered by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health to 8pm last night and 860,173 administered by Commonwealth Government providers including GPs, to 11:59pm on Friday 28 May 2021.
People who have been in Victoria on and from 13 May should check the Victoria Department of Health and Human Services website regularly, and immediately follow the relevant public health advice if they have been to any of the listed venues of concern. Venues of concern continue to be identified and the associated advice for people who have attended them can also change in the rapidly evolving environment. It is important to check the website regularly to see if new venues of concern have been added and if the advice for people who have been to existing venues of concern has been updated.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health is grateful to those people who attended venues of concern who have contacted us so far. Thirty-eight close contacts in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø have now returned negative results. These people will continue to isolate for 14 days from their exposure date and will be tested again before the end of their isolation period.
Anyone who has arrived in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø from Victoria since 4pm on Thursday 27 May is reminded that they must remain at their home or place of residence in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø for the seven-day duration of the Victorian measures.
They are only permitted to leave their places of residence for limited reasons, including shopping for essential items, medical care including COVID-19 vaccinations, caregiving, outdoor exercise, and essential work or education, if it cannot be done from home.
Nobody subject to the stay-at-home measures in Victoria should travel to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø unless permitted to do so.
For ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø residents living along the Victorian border, the seven-day stay-at-home requirement only applies if they have been outside the border region in Victoria since 4pm on Thursday 27 May. The border communities are defined by the map which was used for the previous 'bubble' arrangements.
Anyone arriving in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø by air, rail or road from Victoria (except those travelling within the defined border region) must complete a travel declaration that confirms they have not attended a venue of concern. Anyone who has attended a venue of concern must not travel to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø; instead, they should follow the health advice on the Victorian Health website.
The declaration form is available on the Service ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø website, and can be completed in the 24-hour period before entering ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø or on arrival. The information gathered via the travel declarations is vital in allowing ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health to contact travellers if necessary.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health strongly advises against all non-essential travel to Victoria at this time. People who do choose to travel will be required to follow the Victorian stay-at-home requirements on their return to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Everyone in the state should continue to take practical measures to stay COVID-safe, including practising good hand hygiene, and always using QR codes to check in to and out of venues. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health recommends masks be worn in any situation where physical distancing is not possible, such as on public transport.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health is treating 27 COVID-19 cases, one of whom is in intensive care but does not require a ventilator. Most cases (89 per cent) are being treated in non-acute, out-of-hospital care, including returned travellers in the Special Health Accommodation.
