ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø recorded no new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8pm last night.
Three new cases were acquired overseas to 8pm last night, bringing the total number of cases in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø since the beginning of the pandemic to 5,198.
There were 5,785 tests reported to 8pm last night, compared with the previous day's total of 7,666. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health is concerned that testing rates have dropped considerably recently.
High testing rates are among our best defences against COVID-19, as they allow us to detect new cases early and prevent further transmission.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health strongly urges anyone with even the mildest of symptoms to isolate and get tested immediately.
There were 3,881 COVID-19 vaccines administered by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health in the 24 hours to 8pm last night. The total number of vaccines administered by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health is now 177,733.
Investigations continue into how COVID-19 transmission occurred between two families of returned travellers in adjoining rooms during hotel quarantine at the Adina Apartment Hotel, Town Hall. There has been no further transmission identified to date.
ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health is treating 71 COVID-19 cases, one of whom is in ICU. Most (92 per cent) are being treated in non-acute, out-of-hospital care, including returned travellers in the Special Health Accommodation.
