Train the trainer - Co-occuring mental health conditions in AOD treatment settings

​â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health has partnered with the University of Sydney, Matilda Centre ​â¶Ä‹â¶Ä‹for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use to deliver a series of Train-The-Trainer workshops for trainers with moderate to extensive clinical experience in co-occurring AOD and mental health conditions.

This training will build your knowledge and skills to effectively deliver evidence-based training to AOD-workers to improve their capability to respond to co-occurring mental health conditions in alcohol and other drug treatment settings.

This training program was developed to align the Australian Guidelines on managing co-occurring alcohol and other drug and mental health conditions in alcohol and other drug treatment settings.

Eligibility

This training is fully funded and available to professionals supporting people using alcohol and other drugs in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Government or NGO and Aboriginal Community Controlled Health services operating in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, who:

  • have completed tertiary training in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience
  • have comprehensive knowledge of and/or experience working with people experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance-use disorders
  • have experience delivering interventions for people with co-occurring mental health and substance-use conditions
  • possess sound training skills and have capacity to deliver workplace training.
