Co-occurring mental health conditions in AOD treatment settings

​​​​ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health has partnered with the University of Sydney, Matilda Centre for Research in Mental Health and Substance Use ​to deliver a series of comprehensive skills-based training workshops designed to build knowledge, confidence and skills in responding effectively to people with co-occurring mental health conditions in alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment settings.

This training will cover a range of co-occurring mental health conditions, screening, assessment, motivational enhancement, cognitive and behavioural approaches. This skills based course will be held over three and a half days.

This training program was developed to align the Australian Guidelines on managing co-occurring alcohol and other drug and mental health conditions in alcohol and other drug treatment settings.

This training is fully funded and available to all professionals supporting people using alcohol and other drugs in:

  • ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Government
  • NGO services operating in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø
  • Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services operating in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
