ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø

The Regional Health Division supports the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Government's commitment to improving health outcomes and access to health services for people living in regional, rural and remote ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. The division aims to strengthen and promote regionally-based, patient-centred approaches to the delivery of health services in regional ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.

The key priorities of the division are:

• support the swift delivery of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Government's commitments relating to regional health
• support the response to the 44 recommendations from the Parliamentary inquiry into health outcomes and access to health and hospital services in rural, regional and remote ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø
• coordinate the development and implementation of a Regional Health Plan for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health that is consistent with Future Health strategic objectives and aligns with ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Government priorities
• provide a single point of contact and advocacy for issues common across the regional health environment
• identify opportunities to enhance local access to health and other social services that support quality health outcomes
• integrate health, social and economic data, business intelligence tools, and stakeholder feedback to gain key insights into regional health issues and trends.
