Chief Health Officer’s Strategic Programs

​Reporting to the Chief Health Officer, the Chief Health Officer's Strategic Programs Branch leads a range of portfolios including policy regarding organ and tissue donation, blood and blood products, clinical ethics and voluntary assisted dying.​

The Chief Health Officer's Strategic Programs Branch is configured into three teams:

  • the Strategic Policy Unit
  • the Voluntary Assisted Dying Policy Unit
  • the Voluntary Assisted Dying Board Secretariat.
