Government Relations, Strategy and Violence Prevention Branch (GRSVPB) takes a systems approach to improve sustainability, influencing the policy agenda to achieve better health and wellbeing outcomes for the people of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. GRSVPB protects and promotes sustainable funding for health services, identifies and creates opportunities to transform the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø health system, and supports the Minister and Secretary to negotiate positive outcomes for ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. With this, we have teams dedicated to the delivery of service responses to areas of violence, abuse and neglect through the development, review and implementation of relevant ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health strategies.
Government Relations, Strategy and Violence Prevention Branch (GRSVPB) is made up of four units, three internal to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health and one unit supported by ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health but reporting to the Chair of the Health Ministers Meeting (HMM) and the Chair of the Health Chief Executive Forum (HCEF).
Provide strategic advice and lead on national health policy and funding reforms, working collaboratively within the Ministry and across ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health, and with central agencies to develop policy positions and discern impacts to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
Lead and deliver key inter-governmental reform projects and cross-portfolio program commitments in response to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and the National Partnership Agreement on Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Responses.
Improve ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health service responses to violence, abuse and neglect through mechanisms such as development, review and implementation of relevant ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health strategies, frameworks, policies, guidelines, programs and statewide clinical tools.
The National Health Secretariat is hosted by Government Relations Branch and is jointly funded by all Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments. The team provides strategic policy advice and secretariat support to the Health Ministers Meeting (HMM) and the Health Chief Executive Forum (HCEF) Chairs and members.
